Her life in astrology, in her own words

From her father's knee

Judith Hill's father sat her on his knee and showed her charts when she was three. At ten he took her on as an apprentice for four years; at 14 she gave her first paid reading — “I think it was to my high school teacher's girlfriend” — and by 17 she was supporting herself. For decades she ran an astrology office, “every possible kind of chart”, specialising in the practical branches: vocational astrology and the choosing of dates. Her clients came “from the red light district to the halls of industry”, and to learn compatibility she spent a year with a dating service and chose lawyers, surgeons, business partners — even dogs and horses — by birth date. She turned to medical astrology in 1983, and by 2024 counted “five and a half decades” at work. Fame came late: “I worked in this for four, five decades before I even got noticed… one day I got invited to NORWAC and everything started happening.”
