Who we are

Astro Medica is a personal medical-astrology practice of Ethan Ducasse, based in South Africa ("we", "us"). You can reach us at admin@astro-medica.com. Our physical address for legal notices is available on request at the same address.

What we offer — and what we don't

Our readings, reports, transit alerts, tissue-salt and remedy notes are astrological and educational, offered for wellness reflection. They are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and using them does not create a practitioner–patient relationship. Always consult a qualified, registered healthcare practitioner about any health concern, and in an emergency contact emergency services. Our Medical Disclaimer forms part of these terms.

Your account

You must be 18 or older to create an account. A parent or guardian may save and order charts for a child in their care.

Keep your password private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. Give us accurate details — especially your birth date, time and place, and the country you live in, which decides the currency you pay in.

Prices and payment

South African residents pay our rand prices; everyone else pays our US dollar prices. Card, instant EFT and bank-transfer payments are always charged in rand — dollar prices are converted at the day's exchange rate, which we show before you pay, and your bank handles the conversion. Bitcoin payments are priced in US dollars.

Card and EFT payments are processed by PayFast; we never see or store your card details. Prices are as shown at checkout and may change from time to time, but a change never affects an order you've already placed.

Discounts don't add up: member, loyalty, returning-client and code discounts are compared and you receive the single biggest one. Discount codes apply as described when they're issued (for example, once per customer) and have no cash value.

Live sessions

Booking a session sends us a request; your time is confirmed by email, with how to pay. Times are South African Standard Time (SAST, UTC+2). Sessions take place online unless agreed otherwise.

Where a session includes a recording, we record only with your agreement and share the recording with you. Your written report is prepared from your chart and anything you share in your intake, and is delivered after the session.

Reports

Automated reports (Fixed Star, Essential Dignities and Tissue Salt) are drawn from the birth details you give us and delivered to My Account within 3 working days of payment. You need a free account so we can deliver them.

The Surgery Electional Report is written by hand from the details you give at checkout (the patient's birth details, the procedure, the dates you're considering, the hospital and the surgeon) and delivered to My Account within 5 working days of payment. It suggests dates by the traditional rules of electional astrology. It is not medical advice: your surgeon's and anaesthetist's clinical judgement and the hospital's availability come first, and no date in it is a reason to delay care you need sooner.

Reports are for your personal use. Please don't resell or republish them.

Memberships

Memberships are billed monthly or yearly (a yearly membership costs ten months' price) and renew automatically through PayFast until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in My Account; your benefits continue until the end of the period you've paid for.

Member benefits are listed on the Membership page. Transit alerts and calendar sync are included with Half Moon and Full Moon. We may improve or change benefits; if we raise a price or remove a benefit you pay for, we'll tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal so you can cancel first.

Loyalty points

Points are a thank-you, not money: they have no cash value, can't be transferred and may expire if an account is closed. We may change the rewards on offer, with notice on the Membership page.

Availability by region

Live readings are open to everyone. Automated reports and memberships are not yet available to buyers in the European Union or United Kingdom.

Our content

The site, its software, text, reports and artwork belong to Astro Medica or our licensors. Some anatomy and reference material, including the 3D body's anatomy models, comes from third parties under open licences and is credited where it appears. That material stays under its own licence, and nothing in these terms limits what its licence allows.

Please use the site lawfully: don't try to break its security, scrape it, or use it to harm anyone.

Liability

We take care with every reading, but astrology is interpretive and we can't guarantee outcomes. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for decisions you make based on a reading, or for indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and changes don't affect orders already placed. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
